History of Tokyo Girls' Style
On December 1, 2009 the Japanese media made reports about Avex creating a new girl group due to them being in popular demand.[1] They also reported that Avex would be keeping the identities a secret until January 1, 2010.[1] From January 1 to January 5, Avex released information on the members of the group[3] and launched their official website the following day.[4] On April 29, 2010 the group will be the opening act for label-mate AAA's AAA Heart to Heart Tour 2010.[5]
Their debut single "Kirari" (キラリ☆ "Sparkling") was released on May 5, 2010 and their second single "Onnaji Kimochi" (おんなじキモチ "Same Feeling") on May 19, 2010.
